Two Day Hand Built Sculptural Clay Workshop with Carolyn Audet – 11th, 12th November, 9.30am -3.30pm

Carolyn has been working as a professional artist since 1989 using the mediums of hand built clay and mixed media sculptures as well as drawing and painting in her vivid and sometimes whimsical style. In 1995 she returned to art school to study printmaking and has since developed her craft in etching and collograph. She teaches ceramics and printmaking as well as drawing. Her work is widely collected throughout Australia and overseas.

This two-day creative workshop is based around hand-building sculptural work. Carolyn will step us through creating a bust sculpture and a trinket box as well having time to explore your own free form ideas.

What to bring

Clay is not included in the workshop fees. All glazes and associated colour slips, tools and canvas for tables however will be provided.

Participants can purchase their clay on the day. Carolyn will take your sculptures away to be fired and return to us on a later day.

  • Bring your lunch – morning and afternoon tea will be provided.
  • If you have them (but not necessary) please bring along a small set of pottery tools and paint brushes (fine to large)
  • Glad wrap
  • Plastic garbage bags to store your clay
  • Note book and pen
  • Apron or over-shirt
  • Old towel
Kiln firing costs will be included in the fee .

You can purchase your clay needs at the workshop.

Please note the change in registration and cancellation policy.

Due to some people reserving places in classes and failing to appear without a cancellation or notification and in some cases no payment, others who were on a waiting list missed out. It also has a financial impact on the Society as we still have to cover tutors fees and other related costs.

If you are registered for a workshop your fees must be paid 7 days before the date to ensure you keep your place. If this poses a problem then please contact the workshop organiser via email at artsoctas@gmail.com or call the President on 0409 545 994.
Refunds will only be issued at the discretion of the Committee.
