Concert With Arjun Caemmerer And Michael Harvey
The concert will be called "The Soldier's Tale".
It will include Stravinsky's "The Soldier's Tale" in his 1919 version for clarinet, violin and keyboard. It will be the 100th anniversary of this composition, which premiered in late September 1918.
The players will be Derek Grice (clarinet), Tara Murphy (violin) and Michael Kieran Harvey (keyboard).
Arjun will narrate his new version (2018) of the tale.
The concert will also include Bartóks 'Contrasts' (1938) for the same instruments.
There should be time for a few short solo instrumental pieces and more spoken word.
The concert will go for ~ 1 hour.
The concert start at 6pm and then repeat the concert at 730pm.
The tickets will be $25 full, $20 concession and $10 for school/college students.
