Friday Sept 20th- HAGO at ZENTANGLE
Friday Sept 20th- HAGO at ZENTANGLE

The Zentangle method is an easy to learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Patterns are reduced to elemental strokes so a user of the Zentangle method can recreate that pattern (tangle) by repeating those strokes one at a time in a structured sequence.

Friday Nov 15th- HAGO at SCRATCHBOARD
Friday Nov 15th- HAGO at SCRATCHBOARD
Scratchboard is a great way to achieve remarkable detail and contrast (particularly in black and white). It is a medium which is clear and precise, as well as unique and dramatic. It can be coloured and reworked to present many interesting possibilities. Scratchboard consists of white porcelain clay with a coating of black India ink. Using a variety of specialised and ad hoc scratching tools, artists can scratch through the top layer of ink, with varying degrees of pressure, to expose the white clay beneath.

WAITING LIST - Dec 5th and 6th - 2 Day WATERCOLOUR Workshop

Tony White is a Watercolour Artist who has established a great following with collectors and students alike. His work has been sold as far afield as Germany and the U.K. He is teaching classes and workshops all around the country and the world. His students always have a lot of fun and leave his workshops with a refreshed and invigorated approach, ready to attack their painting with gusto! His social media following is gaining momentum and with over 10,000 Facebook followers, he is hitting his stride around the world. His style is traditional impressionistic landscape with a strong emphasis on light and atmosphere.

“I am inspired by light. Even in the most innocuous of scenes, if the light is dramatic and the mood is misty or sharp or rainy, then I’m in! I believe a painting should move you emotionally and if it doesn’t, then it isn’t doing its job”

Friday 22nd Nov. INTERMEDIATE Life Drawing with Felicity Lovett
Friday 22nd Nov. INTERMEDIATE Life Drawing with Felicity Lovett

Felicity will be teaching two separate all-day workshops in Classical Life Drawing covering essential techniques to address the wonder of the naked form.  This is the first workshop

The fine art of figurative drawing is as old as art itself, and Felicity will once again give participants the opportunity to expand and develop their own skills in Classical Life Drawing, working in various media in these comprehensive yet friendly and fun sessions.

Intermediate:  Friday 22nd November 2019   Time: 10am – 4pm.

The Intermediate workshop is for those with a little prior experience and some basic drawing skills. It will help participants relax and get acquainted with a range of techniques to capture the human form. Through learning correct observation and awareness of key visual elements and structure in the figure, you will see more clearly, gain confidence and enjoy your work more.

In both workshops there will be a number of short poses in the morning sessions before the lunch break. In the afternoon sessions there will be some longer poses, presenting the opportunity to work in more detail and refine a piece in your favourite drawing medium.  You may choose to explore more painterly media like pastel, pen and wash, oils, acrylics…  *.

Workshop numbers are limited so please register early!
