Artists in Conversation

The Art Society organises occasional talks by local artists to share their stories.

These are opportunity to be inspired by what other artists are doing and to gain an insight into their process. They give us a chance to come together with like-minded people to network and learn from each other. All these are free events, unless otherwise noted.

Members and non-members welcome.

POSTPONED
This talk will be rescheduled for a date in the near future.

Peter Walsh
Photographer

Come along to the Lady Franklin Gallery to hear about the creative process Pete applied to his most recent exhibition “Ancestral Dreams” and enjoy some of the works from that exhibition along with the work of three other photographers – Andy Szollosi, Steve Roden and Kevin Smith.

Pete will unravel his experience from the first hint of an idea to research, doing and reviewing the work (including an arts residency) and ultimately building a body of work and exhibition on trees in the Tasmanian wilderness landscape.
