Japanese Style Watercolour with Aoi Kusudo

Friday 29th March 2019  100am to 230pm

Lady Franklin Gallery

The workshop covers 2 different stages of her watercolour.

  1. Dripping-in Japanese traditional painting technique
  2. Intricate Japanese pattern drawing onto dripped-in background.

Participants will do stage 1 - the dripping-in

Between step 1. And 2. There needs to be a 4 or 5 day drying time, so Aoi will provide a background for step 2 of the process.

Participants will have 2 completed works to take home.

Homework will be in three or four days after the workshop . Participants can complete step 2 on their own dripped-in background.

Aoi provides paper, watercolour paint, appropriate brush to use during the workshop.

Participants can bring their own brushes if they wish.

At the end of the workshop participants can order the brush used in the workshop if they like.
